Do a google search for cam chain stretch on that engine which is the same as TT 3.2, and then check the car thoroughly

On my 2nd 3.2 now, newest in my TT

Love the engine & quite good on fuel if you want it to be (34mpg on a long run)

My a3 was bought with 20k & never had any issue's. My TT was bought with 53k, I had to replace a coil pack in the first couple of weeks & from then till Monday its been fine (see my latest post on my current problem!) I'm not sure for def what or how its gone wrong but its only a worry if your going for the DSG! These should receive a service around 40k so have a look for that!

Check the brakes for wear as these are pretty costly due to being made from something the size of drain hole covers, dam good at stopping fast thow Very Happy

check over brakes and suspension for wear and tear.

Main thing is timing chain issues. looking at 1500quid to sort if you buy a *censored*. look for engine management light on and rattles on stsrt up and shut down.

take your time and test plenty.
