Well the title says it all, I assume the problem has been caused when I had the roofboard out to do the headling.
The signal comes and goes even when the car is just sitting on the drive.
The aerial cable seems to be okay I think it is the signal booster.
My question is this. If I put one of the new boosters on that goes at the dash end will that completely remove the need for the original one or is there any other way without either.
A. Removing roofboard again.
B. Fitting a second aerial.
Thanks

My reception was poor on the avant. The amplifier in the aerial was dead. I replaced it with a Hella roof aerial from GSF (less than 10 quid) and it's much better. Unfortunately, you need to change the cable as well, as the Audi one has a screw fitting (or fit a new end on it).

I had a dodgy signal on my (quite old) radio. When I replaced the radio, the signal was much improved, so it could just be your radio.
