can you help please b5 gear problems

Hiya guys an girls im new on here i don't know if its in the right place. An sorry for spelling and grammar before i start lol.

i got a b5 2.5tdi quattro manual 2 weeks ago knowing it needed a release bearing. I driven it home with it i driven perfect gears was real smooth. I got it home. Then driven it to the local garage but on the way the release bearing collapsed on the way

So i had the full clutch kit done with brand new 3 piece clutch, slave cylinder, clutch folk, and the little plastic bit the clutch folk sits on.

So its all back together but the gears are real notchy Sad

. But the Worst is reverse. To get in in what i have to do is

1.with the engine running push the gear stick down and in the reverse position but it will not go in.

2. Turn the engine off with still held in the reverse position.

3. It will slot into reverse

4. Start the car with it in reverse. then back i go lol

So if anyone knows what's wrong i would greatly appreciate it as i love the car its self
