Dipstick is crap

2007 A6 Diesel Avant
I find the round rather than flat dipstick on this car is very difficult to read, can this be replaced with a conventional flat one?

Ernie, I have a 2.4 V6 A6 saloon and the dipstick is the same and, you're right they are hard to read. I've found using a piece of kitchen roll to rest the end on gives a decent idea of the level by marking the paper with oil..........
