Hi

Is there a decent manual available that tells you how to change the timing belt on the V6?

Also has anybody had any problems with their hood cover catch - one of mine (O/S) will not lock the cover into position! Are these repairable? as Audi want £350 for a new one!!!! Which seems like a great deal of dosh just to stop a red light flashing on the dash when the roof is down!

Thanks

Very Happy
If the lamp is still flashing when teh hood is closed and latched , then you have a problem with the interlock circuit. How old is the car? Not sure but it could bee the old boot lid loom problem. If the hood will not latch properly then could be the linkage. If it is similar to that of the hard top thenn I have replace a latch unit that broke - easy job. The ball pin had broken off so that the latch was not being moved by a rod that attaches to efectivley where the handle mech would have been. Hope that helps.

Thanks for the reply Marvin, sorry should have made this clearerin my message, the problem relates to the cover at the rear of the car (The parcel shelf that covers the hood when it is down) It does not click into position on the O/S.

The car is 1995 and so far no problems with the hood at the front end!!!!!
