A4 Front Fog Lights

I have a '97 A4 1.9TDi which does not have front fog lights fitted. I contacted my local dealer to see if they sold a conversion kit so that they can be fitted but was told that no such kit was available. Does anybody know if they are available from anywhere else and if so can they be fitted to the original bumper by some how removing the original grill sections.

Also does anybody know via the internet where I can buy fitted front mats for the above model other than from my local dealer themselves, i.e. cheaper!!

models up to 99 had the fog lights integrated into the headlamp, there is an extra bulb actually in the headlamp itself, and part of the headlamp lense gives the fog lamp spread pattern. then after 99 they were fitted in the lower grilles.

So, your car probably doesnt have the wiring at the lower grilles, if at all!, maybe you could get the headlamp/fog assemblys from a scrappy?, they will be way too expensive even from ECP or vagparts. maybe u could fit the later ones and extend the wiring to suit?

ONly certain models had them as standard SE spec cars plus all the V6 and quattros.

i have extended the wires from the fog lights in the main light and fitted some small round lights in the bumber by cutting away some of the plastic from the small side grills. takes about 2 hours
