Has anyone retrofitted a CD changer specifically to an A4 saloon? I have a Concert head unit and am looking for a changer for it, and I have heard various changers can be fitted, some with and some without electrical adaptors. What have you fitted, and where did you mount the changer in the boot without the factory holder. My car is a ’98 model and has been pre-wired for the changer. Thanks.

Speaking as an Avant driver:

There is a Panasonic unit that fits with the concert head. However, we had to get new cabling for it's placement in my car because the adapter at the pre-wired end was unavailable at the time of fitting. This means that I don't have the Random Facilty, so try and keep an eye open for that issue.

If you visit the caraudiodirect website, they have a useful section where you name the make and model of your car and they display theoptions available for it. Very useful. I did in the end also buy the unit from them as they are competitively priced, and I can recommend them, but you may still prefer to shop around.

As for where it fits in a saloon boot, I'm afraid I can be of no help. Sorry
