Side trim
Removing and installing rear side trim


● Rear seat bench and backrest removed => Page 72-41 onwards
Removing

‒ → Detach trim cap -1- and screw out cross-head bolt beneath cap.
‒ Screw out cross-head bolts -2- at sill panel trim.




Vehicles without integrated belt seats:

‒ Pull off sill panel trim.
All models:

‒ → Screw out cross-head bolts -arrows- between back wall and rear side trim.



‒ Open convertible top compartment lid.
‒ → Screw out combi bolt -5-.
‒ Lift cover -1- and screw out cheese-head bolt -2- (3 Nm) after unfastening securing nut -3-.
4 - Washer
6 - Rear side trim




‒ → Screw out cross-head bolt -arrow- at trim -1- for rear window blower.



Vehicles without integrated belt seats:

‒ → Unclip cover -2-.
‒ Screw out bolts -1- and -4-.
‒ Pull seat belt out of guide bracket -3-.
All models:

‒ Pull up rear edge of side trim slightly.
‒ Then pull out side trim to front.

Installing



Install in reverse order, paying attention to the following:

‒ Start by positioning plate for trim of rear window blower.
‒ → Engage retainers of rear side trim -arrows-.



‒ → Check setting of cover -1-.
‒ When closed, cover must be on a level with rear side trim -6- and convertible top compartment lid
‒ Turn cheese-head bolt -2- accordingly to set height of cover.
‒ Then tighten securing nut -3- of cheese-head bolt.
Vehicles without integrated belt seats:

‒ Install B-pillar seat belt => Page 69-19.
