Hi there,
Please can someone help with the above?
I've just a bought a cab and am doing the first service, changing all the filters, plugs etc. Air and oil i can work out but fuel and pollen i'm not so sure about and i cant seem to find a Haynes manual anywhere.
Thanks for any help |

I'm not 100% sure on the cabby, but the fuel filter is under the car beside the fuel pump on mine, just forward of the rear wheel on the drivers side?
Best waiting until the petrol tank is nearly empty as you are going to loose fuel, undo the bolts at either end of the filter going through the pipes. replacing is the reverse.
be careful i broke one of the pipes doing mine, it wasn't cheap and i had to wait on shipping from Audi Germany too! |

fuel filter is inside the tank with the pump, you have to take out the back seat and rmove the inspection panel |

Cabriolet pump and filters are forward of the rear driver's side wheel. Not in the fuel tank like the coupe as the tank is across the rear bulkhead in the cabriolet. The fuel filter is held by a clamp and the fuel pipes are banjo fittings. Same for all engines on the cabriolet. |

Don't you have to de pressurize the fuel system before removing the filter? Remove the fuel pump relay on the fuse board then turn the engine over for 10-15 seconds
That's how I did mine |

Hi guys, thanks for all your help. i can now confirm 100%!:
1) the fuel filter is under the car just in front of the drivers side rear wheel
2) the pollen filter is under the scuttle panel on the left hand side if you were sat in the car. it definitely needed changing, the old one had five acorns in it!!!
thanks again |
