Just bought the cable (As suggested by Quatro James from Nigel) but no printed instructions 
Where do I plug in into the A4 B7 ? What program do I download onto my laptop ?
What else do I need to know? Ross Tech asks you to register and will not help unless you bought from them.
The plug says Sales @ Vagcom.biz HC703876 and on the front
VCDA HEX-USB=CAN
Computers were simple in 1965 !

Got it sorted !!! Plugged in and downloaded version 11.11.3.
All I have to do is memorise the guide and hope I don't destroy the cars workings ! I'll do it when the garage is open - not at weekends !

It's not very good. It says there are no faults That is from 75 or so points.
How do I get it to just check the PDF Or will this have been covered in the 'No Faults' report
