Audi 80 B4 ABK
Went for a short trip, parked up and came back after an appointment. Car started OK but did not have any power to indicators, wipers and heater fan. A very worrying trip home. As I say car starts fine, is this a relay issue?
Many thanks

Personally, I'd start by checking the fuses. If they are OK the next test would be the X-relay, also known as the relief relay. It's energised when the ignition is on, but drops out when cranking. It powers all the 'live with ignition' circuits that consume too much current to be wired through the ignition switch. Sorry - can't remember where it's kept.

X relay is number 5 in the main fuse box under the bonnet

Check the fuses first as they're the easy and cheaper fix, otherwise you may have a cracked ignition barrel. If you stop the car and start it again it'll work usually. My B3 used to do this before I got a new ignition switch put in.
