2001 TT

Self Opening Window - sounds like a new labour saving device but I don't appreciate it on an expensive car!

Went out this morning and opened the boot, I may have opened the car as well but I didn't get in, only putting something in the boot.

Out again a couple of hours later and it's sitting there with the windows wide open!

Saw a similar prob here on an A3, any idea what I should be doing?

Thanks
Ernie

Hoho just like me you didn't know this happens when you press and hold the unlock button on the remote fob too long. However when the windows are down if you hold the lock button down they will close! Magic or what.
Not really if you're not expecting it but go and have a play now you do Very Happy
Cheers,
Steve

Thanks Steve, pleased to say it hasn't happened again.

Can't really believe I held the wrong button down too long but the wife just says rude things about senility!

Posted a reply about this issue.

See http://www.audifans.net/ftopict-39627.html

My alarm was not arming fully and unlocked the car (which if held in that state drops the windows) which is a bit worrying to come back to when you leave the car for any length of time. The first sign of my issue was the drivers door alarm LED stopped working.

Hope this helps.
