not sure if i like but thought i'd give it a try.
i used color matched vinyl from signworld and had them cut into 3mm strips, applying was easy as you just follow the patterns in the lights right across. the lights still work ok but obviously not as bright.
i was considering having them clear coated with paint tint to match car but expensive and a bugger if went wrong, at least this way you get similar effect and can be removed.

slightly better pic, actually quite like. looks better on a dull day as none of the reflective bits in the lenses show so all you get is a full RED rear end, ooooerhhh!!!!!!!!!

the color is std audi issue "autumn red" does have a code.
the vinyl cost £20 but i have shit loads left, he quoted me on 300mm x 2m but had to cut 1m x 2m on the plotter so i gained quite a bit for nothing.
so i could in effect do it 3 times over. |
