I pretty much listen to the radio all the time in the car, rarely a CD. I just ordered an A6 with the 'Low' package and Bose upgrade and have realised that in just over 4 years the radio will stop working because the government are going switch off FM:

Annoyed.

At a £395 option I'm not going to be paying Audi for DAB, I imagine lots of people will have this issue and so hopefully someone will come up with something clever.

Can you buy and retrofit the module that adds DAB radio?

Cheers

I heard about this yesterday; I would expect you will be able to get a "plug in"? A bit like a set top box, but for your radio.... Rolling Eyes

I really, REALLY think they've cocked up on this one; how much stuff will end up in landfill that will not be possible to be used any more?

Sigh,

It can be done at a price :

Shocked

Ah well, I guess a lot of people are going to have to learn to sing / teach passengers to play guitar.

Thank god you didn't buy a prestige car with an analogue TV as standard!

Thats really clever, not sure how you plug it in but looks good as longs the fitting doesn't cost £320.

I think its pretty outrageous that we are being sold stuff that will potentially be obsolete and un-usable in 4 years, wtf?
