loss of turbo boost

Hello people new to the forum bought first Audi today a4 1.9tdi 51plate 2 owners from New up on the miles but full service history was driving it home was boosting sound got on motorway and was nothing there after a while came off nothing no eml light on turned ignition off then on boosts back no problem car hasn't been used a lot since April only short journeys aswell

Get the fault codes read. Split in a boost hose i expect. Does it make a wooosh noise on hard acceleration? black smoke?

Yes it does mate lot of black smoke

Look for a split hose on the boost side, ie turbo to intercooler then intercooler to inlet manifold. If it woosh's then i would say thats all it is.

The 1.9 engine goes on and on. I had a 80 tdi with 240k (and that is relatively low mileage)
