A4 wipers failing at half way?

I have got a Audi a4 saloon it's wipers have started to play up, stopping as and when they want to, suspect relay problem or motor? Any suggestions

Welcome to the forum. The A4 B5/B6 (1997-2004) both suffered from slow wiper and seized wiper motors. Basically the grease on the mechanical joints in the wiper mechanism dries out. Now it could be this or a faulty wiper stalk or relay.

Rule out the wiper motor first. You can access it by removing the plastic trim under the windscreen and rubber grommet. I'd disconnect the battery first for safety. Get a decent marine grease and lube the knuckle joints. Don't use WD40, as that will be a short term fix.
