Hello all,

I don't have an audi (did once 80 2.0E Avant) but the current car MR2 turbo shares a feature that your cars do and every other VAG 1.8T engined car have, this is having to run a recirc DV because of air metering problems with dumping to atmosphere. I'm perfectly happy with this as i can't stand the noise they make, but it does pose issues with buying valves from the big japanese tuning houses, the recirc ones are absurdly expensive.

So as I know you guys have weak bosch items as stock, many of you will have changed them, i wondered what you'd recommend? From just reading stuff from the web I'd come down to the Forge FMDVR a diaphragm type valve, but wanted some more experience view points.

Cheers Steve

Hi Smile

i think forge are generally regarded best, the diaphrams do blow if your running more boost but forge are very good in suppling new diaphrams Wink

this may help

alternatively have a look on http://www.s2forum.com/ the valve on the S2 is basically the same part as on S3/TT etc etc
they are very much a modding bunch and will have numerous threads on this Smile

The later S3/TT types are more robust than the original S2 part as the valve was made of brass. Many S2 owners now fit the S3/TT recirc DV's.
