B4 avant - post fixed sun roof?

Hi,

as it is getting a bit hot a times in my avant I was wondering whether anybody knows about any "glass roof" kits for audi B4 avant? - I seem to remember I had a merc 123 once that had one done...bit flimsy but it did open...

Do a Google search. There are companies out there that fit them to any marque of car. Take your time and do some research though, because I'm sure (as with most things these days) there are some cowboys out there.

google? first thing I did but to no great avail as I had to wade through 10 million ads for cars with broken sun roof first, - perhaps the exact expression for that "thingy" I am looking for or a manufacturer would be of some help to narrow the search - any ideas?

try a google search for webasto, they manufacture all sorts of sunroof's

For what it's worth, it seems virtually no Audi's came to Australia before the A4s with factory sunroofs. Every one fitted was a 'dealer fit' where they jumped in the car, drove it to a fitter, added $1000 to the bill, and delivered it to the customer. My 1994 2.6 80Q has had an 'after market' sunroof since it left the showroom floor, and there's been no problems with it. I just wished they'd used the factory power pins instead of chopping the harness!

Actually, ingnore my last post! I just discoverd that I have no idea what I'm talking about! I just pulled a bunch of parts from a local 10/1994 car that had a factory sunroof. We live and learn!
