Right wheels are coming off in the next day or so. So took a couple of pics last week

The important bit...

and a trial fit of the replacements...

oh and also have a set of these to go on at some point..

These arent the ones but you get the idea...

and an idea of what the rimmage will look like with a bit of fettling on this stunning s2 coupe..

Cheers

agreed, cant stop looking at the pic of the coupe. Circa 700hp by all accounts too.
Centers will be going gloss black to match the roof. Hopefully at some point itll get a colour change (ive a colour in mind) and the wheels will get colour coded then

Cheers Gav, you may regret those words Laughing Laughing

I read Simon's post earlier, I didn't realise he dyed them a differrent color - I thought he dyed them the same color as before.
See - I'm confused already Very Happy

Shouldn't take too many coats from beige to black Wink

I thought he dyed them the same colour too?

Very simple to do if you take your time, its quite daunting when you first start stripping the colour out of the leather but when you start reaapplying the new colour you can breath a sigh of relief. Spend a lot of time stripping all the plastics off the seats or at least masing them up properly. Any questions let me know.
Top tip- try borrowing a compressor for applying the die (doesnt need to be a heavy duty one) the cans of propellent freeze up very quickly (with it being a compressed gas)
The company i use is furnitureclinic.co.uk
Very very helpful

Very Happy
Ta very much!
Compressor, got one of those

Reason I'm starting is because of this:
http://www.audifans.net/modules.php?name=Forums&file=viewtopic&t=28831

As soon as I've fitted everything tomorrow and it runs (fingers crossed)
Going to start on stripping the seats down
Otherwise I'm looking at £400 easy for leather interior

Hows the Cab progressing? Suppose everythings on hold at the moment with the late - new arrival Wink

the cabs in bits again. Contemplating breaking it before spending anymore money on it.
Its do or die. For me to finish it means injectiong quite a bit of money into it, whihc i dont think i can justify. Ive got a shit job now which pays peanuts even though i work 6-7 days a week circa 12 hours a day. Soemthings got to give and itll probably be the cab sadly

Hi Gav, sorry to hear about your dilemma with the cab Sad hope you are all doing well Smile
Don't worry about having to find buyers for the cab parts, I'd always be willing to contribute to the nappy fund in exchange for a few parts Wink

Mark, my seat dying post was put in the technical section...

http://www.audifans.net/modules.php?name=Forums&file=viewtopic&t=27031 Cool

Sorry to read about your cab. What sort of parts are you after? Sad

I looked through the furniture clinic site, what with your, Si's and the walkthrough on the site - no worries Very Happy
Just the prospect of stripping down the seats and removing the covers might raise my temper level (I'm short tempered as it is Rolling Eyes)
Pics will follow Wink

Yeah surely if you needed to create some cash you could sell the whol car for what you paid for it (or possibly more) without having to dismantle it. It would be such a shame to see it stripped.

God luck mate, i can understand the lack of money situation.

my problem is im picky as fook. Its currently up on axle stands on the drive under a car cover. The konis have been sold as have the porsche cups. On the verge of ordering a set of kw v2's just holding back for a week or two while i battle with my conscience. The wheels are getting refurbed towards the end of the month in exchange for doing a 16v swap on a mk1. Need tyres etc
Oh and ive just sold the front bumper ( Embarassed dont ask)
Main bit really is the bodywork due to the rear quarter damage, i hate bodyshops with a passion and loathe the thought of leaving it with someone, let alone the cost Sad .
With the parts ive got i could break it for circa 5k but if finish it the value would be considerably more. Pah, ive had this conundrum for a few mths now and its getting a bit boring. If i wasnt such a picky tw4t id be driving around in it still.
Feel guilty spunking a load of money on it with littleun about to pop out and say hello.
Anyhoo...on an upisde i did make time last night to fit my rs2 door triggers Very Happy
