Oh yes, Had some money burning a hole in my pocket,I was really after a rear wheel drive car for the track but have just bought this off the Club Gti classifieds

1993(K) Audi 80 2.6E V6

4 dr saloon in silver, 139,000 miles, near f/s/h, has had some really caring past owners(that tradition has now come to a end) - loads spent (recent exhaust / catalytic converters / power steering pump / suspension parts), huge folder of receipts including original pre-delivery inspection and every MOT. Original dealer number plates and keyring ! (from Listers Audi - Coventry).

Taxed till Aug-2009; fresh MOT just passed last week, so MOT till April-2010.

BAD BITS =
1. Suspected cracked heater matrix - windscreen slowly mists up if heater dial turned to warm. Might be recoverable with radweld, or could bypass the matrix if OK with just cold air blowers for the summer!
2. One tyre was an advisory on MOT, near limit on outer edge, other 3 are very good though with plenty of tread (2x Pirellis, 2x Continentals); spare tyre is on limit also.

Totally original spec, body good for age and all panels straight, loads of power - V6 sounds nice and pulls really well. grand sum of £250

[/list]
Thats how see looked when I collected it and as you may know have been trying to recycle most of it but not had many takers so today I started work

Removed 180Kgs of crap!!

Filling/blanking the many holes left behind

and finally the money shot!!!

So are you converting it into a full track day car? Will it be a road legal one?

As an side, what is the disc just below the door handle here? Looks like a tweater speaker? Never seen them in the rear before!

Alot of 80's have those tweeters (even my base model 1.6 Very Happy ) - however, they are prone to failure as shortly after I replaced mine, Jason had to do his as did John and I think Mick too Confused
