Well as most of you know, I have a new car in the garage. I have been the proud owner of an Indigo Blue Pearl S2 Coupe for a few weeks now. I have been pining for one since I lost my Emerald Green Coupe. I was going to build an S2 Saloon (Project Blondie - Now For Sale) but even though I got a cracking 2.6 quattro in Pearl White I just couldn't resist the ABY coupe that came up recently.

It wasn't the easiest of transactions as everything seemed to be stopping me from buying it. I won't go into details but I had a great time up in Scotland for 3 days waiting for the UK banking system to drag itself from 1920's.

Anywho, she is an ABY on a '93 with 90k miles. She needs a little TLC on the bodywork but she's a keeper. I have replaced the chrome grille for the OE black surround. I have a set of Elipsoids to drop in and I am just uming and arrhing whether to put an original set of Avus back on. I do like the 17" multispokes, but I kinda like the OE look.

I need to give her a good clean inside (as in full shampoo) and there are 4 x holes in the dash from a carphone holder which I need to look at.

Here's an early shot:

It is deffo a keeper. This will (hopefully) never need to go up for sale. I am the 3rd owner and it is fully aircon'd (very cold aswell with most of the system has been replaced). I am a VERY happy teddy Razz Cool

Looking good, get some s8's on it and be very happy with it Laughing

where abouts are the holes in the dash? Me personally i'd just change the dash, its around an hour to remove a dash and half hour to fit back for me now since i've done it a few times. I just got lucky as the guy I share the lockup with has spare dash's from time to time so rather than drill the dash I just changed it.

Well I had a day off today so I could play with the S2.

I had to fit my Aux rad as when I bought the car it had been removed. I removed the bungs and rinsed some water through and found this all pored out.

I have been down to Audi to get myself some of Antifreeze as I feel a full flushout is required.

I was routing through my spares box from my previous S2 when I found my stumpy aerial that Jase, pongo and myself found at a car show a few years back, so I fitted that.

I then moved on to the interior where I needed to fit:

RS2 door handles (Provided by Jase - Cheers dude),

Replace the plastic inner sill as it was snapped when I bought it.

And look at the boost gauge as it is on the A pillar and I want it back in the vents. I removed it to have a look and found a right old mess Shocked . I will require a new piece if anyone has one Rolling Eyes

Just replaced the sunroof motor cover as it had an ugly bolt through it and superglue all over it. I also used a lighter colour to match the roof lining.

Well today I decided to go through the wiring loom under the dash. OMG what a nightmare. I removed the speaker wire that was twisted in to the power of the stereo Shock and a few other similar places. I basically undid most of it and re did it all with the correct wire and soldered it in.

Phew, must have removed about 5kg of wire

Laughing Laughing

I actually found 2 wires twisted together and then covered by a plaster Surprised rather than electrical tape.

I also need to replace the horn as it has airhorns at the mo Rolling Eyes . I have removed 2 of the horn tubes and kept just one but I have bought a real/normal horn. I have to work out where the hell all the extra wires and relay run to and from as it's a right all headache.

Yes, a little. I have found that I am having to undo work done to move forward.

For example, how NOT to install a boost gauge Rolling Eyes Shocked
